Making a Difference

We all have the right to have a happy and healthy life, and deserve access to effective care to prevent or treat any mental health problems that may develop. There is a tremendous amount of unmet need, and health disparities are particularly pronounced for those living in low-income communities or those with special needs.

Mental health matters, not only in our life, but in the life of a community. Good mental health is essential to overall health and personal well-being. It contributes to the ability to lead a healthy, balanced, and productive life. Emotional problems can impair a person’s thinking, feelings, and behavior, and over time, can become increasingly serious and disabling. Caring for one’s mental health is as important as taking care of your physical health because mental health impacts all areas of our life.

Mental health has a complex interactive relationship with our physical health and our ability to succeed in school, at work and in society. Physical and mental health affect how we think, feel and act on the inside and outside.

Make a difference in our community life, help meet the needs in our community, assist our community and those within to be healthy, balanced, and productive. Mental health matters in our community life and in each life within the community.
