Resources for Parenting
“Taking time and sharing is the essence of teaching. The future of those we cherish, will be a reflection of what we model today.”
At Center Point Counseling, many of our therapists have both professional and personal experience with parenting. The tremendous amount of responsibility that shape and surround our children can be both exhilarating and downright frightening. We know each parent approaches parenting from their own unique experiences, culture, and ideals. This may be successful for one child but a complete failure for another.
Parenting can be utilized in many different contexts. We work with family of origin parenting, step-parenting, foster care parenting and parenting the adopted child. We also offer expertise in parenting children with disabilities. We value what each loving adult can offer to a child in their care. With that said, we use strength based approaches utilizing a variety of parenting material.

Counseling for parenting needs may help you understand the development of your child and the unique situation you are experiencing. You may find that your child has some special needs and could benefit from a specific approach, or you may find that a third party could help with a parenting impasse with your ex-partner. Whatever your specific concern is, we have the expertise to help.
